Another shot of beetles attempting to make more beetles. Initially it was their iridescent shells that caught my eye, but after a second I realized that the one on top was holding their arms out in a "whoopee I'm flying" sort of way. Probably not what it looks like but it made me laugh. Minimal postwork (just cropping, extra blurring of the already blurry bits and color adjustment). See you tomorrow! EDIT: Now that I look at it, they're not actually even having sex -- one is just riding on top of the other. Maybe there's less naughty business going on here than I thought. EDIT 2: not assuming gender in bugs anymore (because if you think about it, that just makes no fucking sense -- plus it's cissexist and binarist). it's also occurred to me that my use of the term "making the sex", in conjunction with the "pinku" title (which probably counts as culture-thieving in itself), makes for a bigoted language joke. sorry about all that. EDIT 3: yeah in retrospect the original title ("beetle pinku") [strike]seems[/strike] is really racist/nationalist ([strike]seems to be[/strike] is like "lol Japanese beetles get it?"). and i think the "making the sex" stuff mentioned above makes it even nastier (changed "kinda sounds like" to "makes for" above because it [strike]didn't seem like[/strike] was not strong enough wording, and also using "sounds" in place of "seems" isn't ok because it's very hearing-person-centric). replaced images with titles removed, changed title here, and edited keywords and description a bit. again, very sorry about this. Edited again March 2015: was really being a sleazy piece of shit will all that "seems like" crap -- and i even mention above how something else "didn't seem like strong enough wording" but i left a lot of other dishonestly-weak wording in (including the "seem like" in that sentence).
