Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
I have seen quite a few of these Green Lynx spiders lately. They are one of my favorite spider species primarily because they are very territorial. The same spider usually live their entire lives on just one plant so that makes them easy to document. They are also great hunters and are not overly skittish. They seldom abandon their plant even after putting up with me and my camera, lol.
This one has captured a male Eastern Amberwing dragonfly but is struggling to get it where she wants it.

Amazing great shot, Lee. You did wonderful pictures every day - I must wait till the rain stops to take some new pictures here. Have a nice day.
An excellentissime capture of wildlife here, Lee. Well seen !
Astonishing! Such a huge prey item, I hope one day you see the actual kill!
....wow!!!! Was für eine schöne Spinne! Die muss ja sehr groß sein, wenn man die Libelle sieht, die sie "gefangen" hat! Wunderbare Aufnahme!!!!!!!
This is an excellent report of hunting of the lynx. Fantastic!
Wow~ How big is that spider? If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe the spider caught a dragonfly. Fabulous photo.
Oh no, not the dragonfly !!! Bad Bad spider !!. But very nice shot Lee
That's a cool looking spider, almost looks kinda like a cyclops spider, great capture!
Great shot Lee... I really like the composition. Interesting that the front section of her body looks almost translucent, like a gum drop as opposed to the rear section which is opaque. Very well done.
Wow! she is a big spider then, never saw one that large. Excellent Lee
Amazing action shot of a pair of top predators of the insect world. That is one huge spider too! Top Class work Lee!

Super shot!
I hate it when I go to the store and buy something and then they tell me they don't have a sack big enough to fit so could I just carry it out to the car the way it is! I hope this spider puts in a complaint! LOL Great shot and, my! do you think his eyes are bigger than his stomach? :-)
This is another science textbook shot, Lee. Have you thought about marketing these excellent insect macros?
