Description
This is what a "medium" tank looked like for the USA in 1939. On the plus side, you can see what direction American tank design was moving toward with the successful M-3/M-5 "Stuart" series of light tanks. Also the wheels and suspension that made the M-4 "Sherman" tanks so reliable.
For those who are waiting for more nudes, hang on! I'll be off my military history kick soon.
Ooops. Don't forget the late model PzKw IV with "skirt" turret armor and the long 75 mm gun in the left background. A Brit "Chieftain" (?) is in the right background.

The gun being mounted high had both advantage and disadvantage as well and the very short chassis but I believe it was very agile, if one can use that word for a lump of solid steel, lol. Keep them coming, I can watch these ladies without being put under surveillance! LOL

37mm was enough. 57 mm was getting big. Even a shoulder held Russian antitank rifle could make a pinhole that took out a crewman. The suspension clearly was different on American tanks with double wheel trucks and upper idlers. The movie "El Alamein" convinced me this configuration could be successful though my mother wanted to take us to see "The Desert Fox"

Yep. A great shot. Not seen this one before! Really cool. But, as with Neiwil, I'd rather go to war in a Pzkw IV ! Yep. It is a Chieftian. Still used today by many Armed Forces.
to think they were formidable in WWII but in Iraq they are sitting death traps with today's armor piercing shells and roadside bombs excellent capture
