Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
I had a number of Passionflower vines re-appear this year but I have not seen the usual array of little critters associated with it.
I have not seen any of the Butterflies that use it for a host plant but at least one did because I did find this single Varigated Fritillary Butterfly caterpillar.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Great shot. I like those little critters very much. Hope you keep up with your great photographies...
awesome macro work. it is a new one to me.. excellent capture
The clarity is exceptional. You've really outlined its beauty in this well composed macro!
Great macro of this fellow.
Extremely colourful creature! a superb macro, I'm glad you found him!
There has just been a morning TV report about a massive decline in butterfly sightings in the UK this year, partly due to their natural habitat dissappearing. another awesome capture Lee of this amazing caterpillar macro!
Great macro. They really do look a crazy design, I suppose designed to look inedable!
Super shot Lee, I trust you will be watching for it to become a winged creature as well. Excellent
