Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held images.
This was a new species for me. I thought it was some sor of ant when I first saw it but after downloading from the camera, it was obviously not an ant, lol. It will look nothing like this when it matures. I have been looking for an adult but with no luck so far.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Really a cool macro shot!!!!!!
You continue to produce shots of the most astonishing creatures. These of this big butt bug are wonderful and interesting with exceptional detail.
...wunderbare Macro-Aufnahmen! Das Tier kenne ich nicht - aber es hat ein "elegante" Haltung!
great macro shot...
Funny lookin' bug, with the little hairs on it's head it's kinda cute...
It reminded me of mature African ladies, all it needs is a colourful turban! Very interesting creature, Lee, I hope you manage to ID it. Superb shots, as always.
Great find Lee. Excellent set of profiles. Good luck on the hunt for others
Just when I start to think he's found them all; up pops a new one! You never cease to amaze me Lee, I do hope you go for that D40x. You already produce the most astounding shots of these little critters, but I'm sure you will find a great improvement if you decide to go with that camera, once you learn how to drive it that is. #;0) Superb captures and presentation, great to see the critter from different angles. Bravo!!!!!
I WOULD HAVE SAID IT WAS AN ANT THANKS FOR THE INFO
Great photography once again new to me as well that rear end looks as if they may be used to produce something for the others
Excellent captures. Bunny
