Description

My dog was at the Vets for boarding and there were these four kittens and one adult cat up for adoption. As my dog was a pound puppy herself (one of fifteen children and the runt), I wanted to do an image to promote shelter adoptions. This image stood out and I asked JaneEden if should could help with a title or slogan that would get others attention. I chose her because I know she loves animals and cares for their welfare and it shows in her delightful images! I hope you will consider pet adoptions first before buying a pure breed. Pound puppies and kittens are amazing and are in need of love and are willing to give it whole heartedly! If you have a dog or cat, PLEASE HAVE IT SPADE(?) or NEUTERED!!!! I am not against pure breeds, they are wonderful, but many these days are from animal mills and God bless their little hearts for all of their suffering. Thank you for taking a look and thinking about these wonderful animals! Thank you dear JaneEden for helping me out and may you be back soon!

A worthy cause! Bravo! Great photo and the expression is perfect. All my pets have been rescued. http://www.petfinder.com is an excellent place to find new friends in the US. Puppy mills are horrific. I have friends who have devoted their lives to animal rescue, and fostering, sometimes putting their own well-being at risk to save an abused or neglected animal.

lol, I hate that look (being sarcastic here...) because when my cat gives me that look she usually gets what she wants...

Beyond cuteness. I like to have a ginger and my name is put down for adopt one, when they will have him/her I am the first to be contacted. Great message.

A precious shot, and I don't know how anyone could resist that face! Bravo to you for promoting pound animals, who can be every bit and much a joy as a purebreed, and even more so knowing that it's life was saved by adoption. :)

I've always go to the animal shelter if I want a cat. My two I have now are 12 and 10 years old, both from the shelter. They seem to appreciate it going to a home. We've always had two, one keeps the other company.

Awwwww!!!! She's adorable! Who could say no to this gorgeous face? I totally agree with you. I have adopted 3 adult cats from shelters and rescue groups. Winky, my avatar, is the newest addition to my 4-cat family. He was adopted from a rescue group and is a "special needs" kitty since he is blind in one eye. He is the most gentle and easy going kitty I have ever known. I love kittens, but I adopt adult kitties because they are harder to place than cute little kittens. BTW, excellent shot!

Awww, this little one just grabs my heart! What a wonderous capture this is, look at those eyes, just begging each and everyone of us to PLEASE take him/her home!! All my critters are adoptees .. or maybe I'm the adoptee, LOL! I can't see paying all that money for a dog that comes from a breeder, it only encourages them to make more puppies and more profits at the expense of the female dogs.
