Description
Was out in the garden feeding the fish and filling the bird table. I noticed all the iris's have finished blooming and decided to open a pod and photograph the seeds. Bored out of my tree with all the rain we are having at the moment.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make, I do appreciate each and every one of them.

What a great idea with a lovely result Jeff!! Well captured. The seeds look like teeth!!! lol... Send some rain our way sir... Africa needs it!! :)

The creamy coloured seeds stand out great against the black background, I must agree with Carin they do look very much like teeth lol even the ones in the pod. terrific macro, I had a play with my new tripod last night Jeff and I think the snap-on macro lens will be ok to use on the new camera! need a good subject though!
Lol I thought it was you smiling at us mate!!
They look like cloves of garlic to me...way cool idea and capture!
This is a wonderful photograph ... of course! :) What I'm really impressed with, though, is how sharp your knife must be. You did an amazing job of cutting into that pod. The edges are so clean, they just glisten in the light. Beautiful work! I've seen the inside of a pod like this before, and it never would have dawned on me to take a picture of it. Your mind must be a fun place to be, my friend! :)
Amazing how nature arranges things and presents them to us. Brilliant capture!!
a brilliant image my friend, excellent work !!!
Very well done. 5+.
Nice clear shot and they do look like teeth....is raining here too...boringggggggggg...thank you for stopping by my gallery and leaving such a wonderful comment...made me smile!
A good idea and an interesting shot, you could do another one like this when the pods pop on their own as a comparison. I have to remember to cut the pods off and bin them, not compost, as they come up everywhere, pond or no pond!
Wooooww this is like a big smile, great shot!!!!!!
Excellent capture my friend.
We had major storms go through here last night; we lost power for a couple of hours too; and a tree went down. Just west of us, another Tornado touched down. No one was hurt, but it sounds like a chicken farm didn't make it :( I'm telling myself it was a vacant old chicken farm. Nice photo Jeff ... very nice. Looks like you got out some at least today :)
Great and funny capture Jeff! :)
What a great shot~~who would ever have thought of this??
Nice shot of another of nature's little marvels. It is amazing to consider all the beautiful colors that come from the seeds. Each wrapped up like a present and just waiting for the chance to bloom. Nice way to overcome a dreary day. Thanks for sharing. Lee
