Description
i know a lot of people of the world call any grainin the field corn. but here it yellow and it on ears. that to us is corn. just to clear that up so no miss understanding is here. anyway many years ago I was working by this corn field and I ask the farmer about his field of corn and he say it was not good for humans. lol Why grow something not good to eat. So I thought about it and thought it good for the cattle then? Many people fatten up cows with grains of corn so I saw he was getting his corn out the field so zI took two ears to feed to my hamster. In two or three days my hamster die and I think it was the corn.
Now Corn Ethanol Takes More Energy Than It Makes
and i think this is what this corn was grow for i looked up ethanol and learn this about corn .
Anyway I wonder why so many people is buying into this ethanol stuff if it cost is to hight to make. And it shot the world food prices up by 75% If you ask me it is been used to get control of the world. i noted to the world bank is talking more. And I know a lot of people question they stand on a lot of stuff. {I not going to open that can of worms]
I saw this storm comeing up on this feild and The sun was shineing on the feild still but it do look like a bad storm comeing. I thought of a bad storm comeing on the world too. What we going to do when the trucks stop running because of the fuel prices and the food not going to the stores? I not saying to stock up a whole lot but just some here and there just to bridge the time of the stopage and the time the trucks will start rolling again. Just a idea. I may be off base but it still good to store up if you can up to a month of can and dry food.
thanks for looking and comments . plus think about it too

wind was blowing into the storm at this time. that why the trees is like that
the storm is certainly coming... hank jr. was right when he wrote "a country boy can survive." EXCELLENT PHOTO!
jock the reason they are being sold the myth on methanol is the government gets the tax of the gallon of diesel or gas it takes to make one gallon or less of methanol. they then get to tax methanol as fuel and collect double taxes and this is what its reaLLY ALL about! methanol and other fuels that take poor peoples food away is a myth and a death sentence to the poor has cause 100,000 around the world to die of starvation. this is only the beguining !!! cor-pirations and the need for greed!!1
The dark storm sky, with the yellow cornfield make for beautiful contrast!!
Fantastic contrast indeed. Great shot!
I don't know about the approaching storm, but this is as corny as Kansas in August! Love the side lighting and those dark and brooding clouds, Jock! I agree with you concerning ethanol. And, because of colon problems, I can't eat corn of any kind.
Oh find out too that Missouri that grows a lot of corn can not build any plants there. the green people is stopping them. at lest that one man from that state told me last week. I heard no news on tv but then I do not trust the news anyway
I like the contrast of colors! Great capture Jocko :)
Excellent photography and scene, well done..
Great photo, Jock! And symbolism.
A striking capture Jock, and perfect for your thoughts! It is wise to have a small stockpile in these uncertain times.
Small patch of yellow field looks good againt the stormy clouds. Interesting thoughts too.
Fascinating story, Jock. Great shot with fabulous light.
A lot of corn seed comes from Monsanto with is genetically modified, i.e., GM corn. Rat's will die from it and much GM corn, I've read, is in our regular food supply and the government DOES NOT mandate that food containing GM be labeled as such. Guess who runs the US government. "We the people" don't. And I've also read the story about how using food for fuel is causing world-wide starvation. Thanks for the photo and commentary Jock.
In the community I grew up in farmers grew "field corn" mostly to feed to hogs. They left it in the field until it completely dried so it would not mold when it was stored. Sweet corn was grown in gardens and I used to sell it door to door when we had surplus. Knee high by the fourth of July was one saying about how it grew. This looks like a Halloween field. Sometimes farmers harvested the shucks as fodder.
WOW!!! Cool pic! I like this one! EXT!
Cool picture and words to think about.
Great light here, Jock!
A wonderful capture and commentary to match, Jock. Being a former Texas boy, I'll also keep some ammo on hand along with spare vittles.
excellent contrast between light and the dark storm.it looked like we could have some rain tonight but I doubt it. the ones wanting corn to be used as a fuel additive are owners of farms and production of ethanol
Fantastic capture.
A fantastic shot Jocko. The sky looks ominious and I like the late sun on the trees. I agree with you on the ethanol issue completely. Not only does it take a lot of energy to plant and harvest,(because nobody is doing it by hand) corn uses a tremendous amout of water to grow, and every state has water problems. Ethanol also doesn't produce as much bang for your buck as regular gasoline does, it raises food prices - and pollutes!!!!
What a fabulous image! Beautiful work.
LOvely shot here jock::
...gigantisch! Diese Farben und die Stimmung! Ich bin begeistert!!!!!
The corn contrasts very well with the blue clouds, lovely view. As for the methanol, as far as I am concerned: I have my doubts too, sad to say.
Fantastic shot! :)
なんと言うか、目立たない光の美しさが魅力的ですね!!!!!
so interesting and terrible at the same time... thanks for sharing!
Super contrast and fine capture Jock ! Sorry to hear about your Hamster...bummer dude ! The World Bank has a lot to answer for...and we are still waiting for them to come clean ! ~Cheers~
