Description
This is a shot I took last fall in Huntington Beach, California. It was a ways off, but there is still something I liked about it. That's Catalina Island in the background.

A cool summer shot!
Ride On Bro!!! Nice waves out there. Never surfed before myself. Might be fun to float surf on the board though!!!
Great capture! The first thing that crossed my mind? "Book 'im Danno, Murder One."
Fantastic capture.
i always remember gibraltar when i was posted there in my army days .we used to try and water ski on a wooden army table top .i know thats not surfing ,but thats what this pic reminded me of lol :o)..excellent marilyn mick
He's not gonna get very far on that tiny wave!!! Great atmospheric shot Marilyn!!!! :)
That's what I like, a tryer, they may only small ones but any wave is better than still water when you are trying to surf. I would love to see a similar shot with the 'newish' camera, I bet you still haven't tried all the bells and whistles out yet. Great shot and postwork. Bravo!!!!!
excellent capture and postwork Marylin, i can almost hear the tunes from The Beach Boys and The Ventures as i look at this. :-)
Great capture! Like the way you framed it!
My warped brain wanted to make him one of those universal stick men that they have on warning signs.... And as far as working the small waves, if that's all you've got then that's what you use! I grew up in Southern California, and most of my friends were surfers; they were happy with whatever the ocean decided to give them. Nice photo, Marilyn; I like the transition from BW to color in the vignette!
nice postwork.
looks like fun wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
Super postwork my friend and great and creative idea!
I love the postwork on this!
It looks like bigfoot surfing ... lol!! 5+++
your post work is very awesome I declare! always is.... sorta retro feel to it! I love it :-) hugss
cool
Huntington Beach, CA, a virtual stone's throw from my abode! Catalina looks so large in this shot; isn't it 26-miles off the coast? Or at least that's what the song says. Interesting and dynamic capture here, Marilyn.
Great shot! :)
Love the post prodution work - Exceellent eye for Art!!
I do so love those cool things you pick up at the beach!
