Description
Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.
The average global air temperature near the Earth's surface increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the hundred years ending in 2005. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-twentieth century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gas concentrations" via an enhanced greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.

Nicely done - and great texture!
nice!
It's a bad topic only to those who would rather bury their head in the sand rather than address the issue. Excellent choice of filters for this one. They emphasis the aridness of the subject.
So beautiful! Thanks for the info.
an excellent sign of our times and is more true than most people want to realize.outstanding art
mmmm a very interesting subject, back to mans stupidity i'm afraid, great image
An excellent representation of a serious subject. If more people made more visual statements instead of making fantasy scenes with scantily clad elvish warrior maidens (like I do - worst offender...) maybe we could together achieve more. A thought for the Rendo community? Excellent 5++ Dave
Great scene of a great problem! You have done excellent work showing it.
