Description
I was trying to get a decent macro of these day lilies from my front yard when this bee decided to join the party. She only stayed long enough for one shot, so even though she's not as sharp as I'd like, this is the only one I have of her.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Awesome image ... beautiful close up ...
Excellent macro shot Dennis!! this looks like a hover fly to me?? I love the iridescence on the wings!!
Great shot bee or hover fly. What ever it is, nice work. Lovely colors and clairity of the flower too. Aloha
It looks sharp as a carpet tack to me! But please, how did you get this incredible color in the lily?
I looked up hoverfly, and I think Akemi is right. It does look like it has a fly's eyes, too.
Beautiful, beautiful macro! I love the gleam of gold-dust on the petals and on the insect's wings! Fabulous work!
And here I was thinking how sharp it was. LOL! Guess we always think things could be better. It's an excellent shot, Dennis.
Beautiful image...
EXCELLENT MACRO :)
Nice to have a visitor.... Excellent shot. Aloha
Oh my gosh, the "sparkle" (gold-dust sounds good too)on the day lily is absolutely spectacular. And the iridescence on the wings is beautiful as well. I'm glad you posted something tonight. I miss you when you don't post.
Fantastic macro.
Super
Oh wow. This is great! The color of that lily is stunning, and the iridescence of the wings on your little friend is just amazing. Yeah ... too bad it isn't sharper. At full view and 400% I can see a tiny bit of blur. (Sheesh! Such a perfectionist. If this were in my gallery, you'd never hear the end of it!)
Fantastic clarity and detail and of course the color is very bright and appealing.
An excellent macro shot! Wonderful color and detail.
excellent!
Super macro, Dennis! Beautiful!

Wonderful capture and I think this little guy is going to have all the pollen he can carry.
