this is a backside of an old building(1875) in a small city about 30 miles from me.it had so much texture and gritty exterior I thought it did not deserve to be in color

excellent b/w image Richard, an example of what once was a lively building in early America.
...schade um die schönen alten Häuser, wenn man sie verkommen lässt. Tolle Aufnahme!!

Wonderful and beautiful image. excellent capture!!
What a super cool old building and your right it has a lot of grit and character about it. Anyone feel brave enough to try the fire escape :)
Love this black and white one....giving a special mood to the image. Taken by a real artist!!!
Beautiful shot!!!!!!!!!!! Think your right about the color... may have distracted from the overall look .. Excellent work!!
I cannot believe there is no laundry hanging.
interesting work :)
Something about seeing old buildings like that always fascinates me. So much history and yet its been abandoned, forgotten, its memories unloved, unkept. Rather sad in a way.
Very creative and very beautiful
Oh yes I see what you mean. Lovely in B&W and it is making a statement all of its own.
Great B&W photo!
It's 40 degrees Celcius in my room now and plenty of sun. Beautiful capture, I like the perspective and the B&W.
Its amazing that this building is still standing, despites its decrepit look. Very cool capture.
excellent work, very gritty
Marvelous study in textures and lighting-- excellent!!!!!
Very nice, well done...
The postwork is just outstanding to create an effect equal to the interest of the subject.
I think the B&W gave it more character than what it would have been in color. I'm in total agreement with you. A very excellent capture. Aloha
