Here is a potential Ant Queen and her little worker escort. She will fly off and attempt to start a new mound. The worker will go back to work, lol.

You do very well in capturing the micro world in grass, Lee !
Nice shot, kudos...
Oh My, this is the best, I mean the VERY BEST ant shot I've seen. The shine and colors and transparentcy affect is over the rotten top! Good heavens but this is stellar in the most stellar sense of the word.
GREAT WORK
....eine neue Königin! Wunderschöne Tier-Aufnahme!
I'm sure the little guy will be heart broken after the Queen flys away. Very nice capture. Aloha
Amazing difference in size. Very good work. 5+
Wonderful showing us the comparison! What news about your exhibition preparations?
What a fantastic shot this is Lee, I have seen flyers many times but not as close as this, you were very lucky to get them both in the same shot. It looks like she is preparing for take off. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! Like Andrea I too am curious as to how the exhibition preparation is going, are you going to do a montage of the chosen works? I for one would be interested in the ones you choose.
Wow, this is great Lee. I love it!
Great clarity and composition. Thank You
Excellent!
WOW!!Excellent macro...Jen
Isn't that always the way? Royalty (even bosses) expects us to be at beck and call and in the end it's always "Be off with you peasant"! ;o) Excellent capture. Bunny
Excellent and your bug hunting skills and quality work, and keen eye always find things of great interest
The ants go marching one by one, the littlest one stops to suck his thumb... A song from my youth... lol. Great shot!
Fascinating contrast!!!!!!
