Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
I posted an image of a Flea Beetle earlier this year but this is a female one. They have a much bigger body than the males.
I did do some selective level adjustments to create a bit of "mood".
This ends my " Beetle Mania" week. Tomorrow I start my "It's a Small World" week - little bugs of all sorts.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

what a beautiful bug and pristine macro Lee
Flat out a wonderful shot.
I like what you have done with the color and presentation for the sake of drama. It has a stunning affect!
...da wird es sicher bald viele kleine Käfer geben! Ein sehr schöne Aufnahme!
great capture...
Excellent little guy and I really like the light on it too
Super pic. I like the 'Bum-freezer' wing cases!
Amazing macro!! 5++
Lovely rich colours and excellent postwork Lee. Stunning details on this macro. Excellent photography. xx
Zoom is a must for this bug shot. Love the wingcase on this one Lee, the whole bug looks like it has been varnished, but the reflected light on top looks fantastic. This also looks to have pronounced thighs on the back legs a lot bigger than the other two sets, I wonder is it to carry the larger back end? Lol. They do say a woman with large thighs is a good child bearer. I'm only repeating what I've heard ladies. Excellent ccapture Lee and your selective level adjustments look A OK to me. Bravo!!!!!
What a cutie!!! Excellent work Lee! :)
Lovely shot, nice glowing colors, thank you
Wonderful color and presentation!
She looks for sure like dressed up by a peacock. I like also the metalic colors in contrast to the candy apple red. Perfect sighting.
Simply Splendid Bravo Lee!
