Description
These animals are walking free around the Wild Animal Park here at The South Lakes Cumbria. However there are two groups and they make there own territory and one group does not mix with the other group. Most of them were born here in captivity but have always been free to roam.
The Ring tailed Lemurs live in a large area of South-Western Madagascar. They like scrub, spiny desert, dry and gallery forest. in the wild these animals ARE ENDANGERED with habitat disappearing at an alarming rate.
Thanks to all those who viewed and commented on my last upload "Gentle giant", it really made my day to see that many had added it to their favourites !
Have a great Weekend !!! Alan.

He doesn't look particularly pleased to be having his pic taken, I suppose its the spectacled eyes that make him seen like that! A great sharp shot, Alan!
Wonderful photo.

Excellent capture my friend.
A real cutie Alan!! This is a wonderful image! :)
Is it just me or does he look like he's dropped too much LSD in his lifetime? I've seen that same look on a few of the street people downtown! Simply outstanding capture.
Stunning Photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great capture Alan. I was looking for words to comment and PJ said it perfectly. I agree, Sig...

I love these guys, and this is a superb capture of the beautiful lemur~!
Excellent shot Alan, as I recall this one started all the howling off, I think I got one with his mouth open. Those eyes do look like they've seen a bit too much acid though, I have to agree. Lol. I think he was trying to stare you down, I'm just glad it wasn't a Silver Back Gorilla, or am I. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
