Description
The 14th June at Baarn, a little Dutch town, 60.000 people become infatuated seeing all the carriages filled with historical figures. They organized the biggest state visit of all times, historic cloth designers and actors, who presented kings and queens, princes and princesses, counts and dukes and even a emperor. Taking photographs was a crime with so many people and modern backgrounds. I’ve shot a lot, and I will show you some of them, but I’ve to manipulate them to remove not relevant subjects.
I know there beautiful shots of other photographs, if you want to see them, search the net to “grootste staats bezoek aller tijden” its all Dutch I think.
Here I present you, Marie Antoinette.
At fourteen, she was married to Louis-Auguste, Dauphin of France, the future Louis XVI. best remembered for her legendary and, (some modern historians say) excesses and for her death: she lost her head by guillotine.
Take care, have a great day and thanks for your support and kind comments on my previous postings. Also thanks to everyone who added my work as a favorite. Cornelis

wow good shot!! whats work for this hairdress!
Fantastic!
Strange to see the makeup styles of those says, so long ago. Today one would add makeup so as to appear tanned, and then they made themselves look whiter, paler, complexions like china or porcelain. And then there's the hairstyles!! A marvelous capture! I look forward to more.
I´m very interested to see more! And I´m interested in a pic without all postwork, showing the atmosphere with all those modern surroundings. Only one pic, maybe as a WIP. I had the same problem here in Berlin with our carnival: Totally overcrowded, taking pictures was sometimes very difficult.
She is a beauty, looking quite extravagant. Fine portrait!
