Description
Yikes. It is a wasp. A Black and Yellow Mud Dauber. Lucky for me they are rarely aggressive, although they are capable of stinging. It builds nests from mud, and fills it with paralyzed spiders (to eat), and this is where they lay their eggs.

Funny pose... genious capture my friend!
a very fine find and capture
Super macro!
...add an arrow, and you've got a silent deadly weapon. Neato macro of the debonair and urbane wasp, courteous enough to pose for your camera, Melinda. Wonderful clarity and POV, and I like the long handlebar mustache.
ICK!ICK!ICK! And aside from that, a stellar shot!
super closeup of my not so favorite critter...lol
