Counting the clouds
As they roll bye
Their on a journey
Across the sky
All the different sizes
And shapes
Going where ever
The wind may take
It's like a dream
Way up there
Drifting along
Without a care
This late in my life
It must be fate
To float with the clouds
I can't wait
But my love
Without you by my side
How could I ever
Enjoy this flight
So I will supply the balloon
And pray for the wind
Give me your hand
And climb on in
We will fly up into the heavens
So everyone can see
Me on a balloon ride
And you kissing me

This is nice! The rhyming is wonderfully done - I read it aloud, and the flow is excellent. "Flight" sort of sticks out, but I get why you chose it. The more obvious "ride" doesn't have quite the same connotation. Beautiful work, my poet friend!
