Description
Rummaging through my older images, I found this one from the Hawaiian Cruise we took in 2005. This is looking down on the bow of the "Pride Of America" while docked in port at Honolulu. The ugly swimming pool below was for the crew to use. The word I got was that it is no longer used due to the noise disturbing the passengers.
The "Pride Of America" has a very interesting build history. It was an unfinished ship that NCL bought. It was subsequently cut in half and a center section from a different ship was welded in place to lengthen the ship. While being lengthened, a major storm struck the shipyard, caused considerable damage to the vessel, and partially sunk her in its berth. We felt safe that the ship was pre-sunk!
Enjoy!

Great & Unique shot
Pretty boat! As long as the pool is clean, a swim is a great way to start the day.
I love your story. :-) Not sure I'd be 100% comfortable on it in any event. I've got a phobia about drowning... (early childhood mishap did that) A very interesting and unique pov.
Ala "The World According to Garp", eh? Looks like she was run aground for this angle (GRIN) Nice shot!
Interesting POV on the shot and the history as well.
Never seen a pic like this. What a gorgeous POV!
Interesting shot of the dock. Not sure about your "feeling safe" logic, there, Bro.
what a VIEW!!!! Thank you so much; i have never seen a photo ever, showing this kind of scene from inside a ship like this, looking out! Goes to show just how huge they are. That must have been a fun trip! Thank u so much for sharing this. I love it. :)
Fantastic shot. Always wondered what it would look like looking out from a boat into Honolulu. Excellent!
