Description
Denise (MrsRatbag) and I followed this heron** all over the place, trying to get him to hold still enough to take his pic. We were sloshing thru the incoming tide, and I finally got a couple I liked, though not exactly THE one. Guess this one has to do, cuz I'm home again!!!

Wow - nice capture! I'm glad you caught up with this fellow. It was worth the trouble to get so close!
They are amazing birds. You really got good color on that beak, in fact, you got good color all over him. Congrats!
Great capture...and yes it is a "wow"
nice capture
Beautiful bird and fantastic capture.
excellent capture Marylin of such a beautiful bird !!
Excellent shot!! Beautiful image.
excellent
None of my shots are anywhere near this good. I think I'm bumping into the limits of my camera (or could it be the user?) This is great!
Wonderful shot of a beautiful bird....maybe he was just camera shy...LOL
What a superb photograph, Marilyn. It was worth the effort to get a capture like this! Mike
Looks like you managed to get pretty close to this guy Marilyn, excellent image. Well done you. It sure sounds like you had a fabulous time in Seattle. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

It's a great shot! i love these birds when they're not in my garden!
so your home again then ,how long for this time lol :o)..excellent capture marilyn mick
Well I guess the bay wasn't so useless after all lol. A great shot of the heron. Glad you had a great time while you was here. Hope to see some more pictures from the area. Did you get to go to Pikes Place while you where here?
they hard to get . very good shot
Let not your heart be troubled, Marilyn. This is a terrific shot of the heron, considering the adverse conditions. Fine clarity, reflectivity and textures are depicted of the avian, contrasting well against the light blue background. Probably one of the best I've seen of the bird on Renderosity, which are posted relatively often.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh .... I've been trying to catch one of these guys close up like this for a long time. Excellent shot. What's the trick? They are so shy. Did you use a telephoto??
Wow! Very long neck... Nice capture. Aloha
I think you should feel content with this shot. Animals are hard to capture, and birds in particular, sneaky bastards.. :) He strikes a very nice pose. But why is the bay useless?
Very impressive! :-)
Oh he is beautiful excellent capture
Agreed, excellent. Thank you for sharing!
Nice heron shot - well done!
