a tribute to my dear old Daddy, in the uniform of the 36th Infantry (the Texas or Arrowhead Division), 1918; God bless him!

A great image for 'Father's Day'. I love old photographs and have a lot of them in the museum. I often wonder who they are and if they still have relatives around anywhere. Nice to see this.

A fine tribute to your dad and all the heroes of the Great War. (Only two or three left in the USA if I am not mistaken.) The 36th was made up of Texas and Oklahoma National Guardsmen and served with General Henri Gouraud's Fourth French Army in Champagne and in the battles along the Aisne River in the Summer/Fall of 1918.

This is a superb work! I've always loved old photographs, and always see a sense of mystery in them, since the majority of the people shown are completely unknown, at least to me. It's great to see such a picture and to be able to say "this is somebody's dad" in a way that isn't terribly abstract. That makes it more touching, far more poignant, and aside from that, it possesses its own elegant, regal nature. Great work!

This is classic. My dad just passed away in 2007 at the age of 99 1/2... Hope you don't mind...I think I'll borrow your idea and find one of his old pictures. I have a lot of them. He loved photography and engaged in it as a hobby from 1923 to 2007. Nice job here. Bill
