Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
This species is about 1 1/4 " long. They perch often but do move frequently. They are not overly skittish and are somewhat curious. They often hover right in front of my face but I have been unable to capture this. You just have to take my word for that, lol.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

great capture...
Excellent detail as always, the head looks almost silver from this shot. I'd just like to add Leeco that your comment on my humble first Dragonfly has inspired me to go searching again. you are very well respected on here for this type of photography, thanks !
...bei mir halten sich Libellen selten mal still - und wenn, sind sie weit weg. Wunderschöne Aufnahme!!!
I like the colours of this insect very much, and they look especially good against the leaf. A beautiful shot.
This is super. Great how nature sets the colors to match. Well done
Great Colors on this dragon. Very cool setting for it too. Well done!
He really blends well with the surrounding leaves. Interesting to me that they only had the one small touch of color in their wings.
Excellent colors here
Very beautiful color dragonfly. It is the kind that does not look very much in Japan. Nice capture.
Very kind of the Dragonfly to land on that lovely broad leaf for you Lee, on the other hand he blends in well, his body being the same colour. You managed to get in close though so it retained its detail, I don't think I have seen one as bright as this before. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
