Description
My son, in addition to being a white water river guide, snowboard instructor, climber, white hair on mom giver, is also a motorhead. He can take an engine apart, put it back together, with no extra parts. He's had more cars in his 28 years than I've had in my whole life. This engine came out of a 72 Chevy truck that he rebuilt. He put in a Corvette engine, raised it, changed it from an automatic to a 5 speed, did things I do NOT understand. It probably got about 2 miles to a gallon, but as he said, with this evil grin, "But it's FUN!!!!". The truck sat in front on my house for two years, and this engine's been garden art for longer than that. Because I've got yet another big project, it needed to be moved, or dumped. When I mentioned that "D" word, he got this sad look on his face, and said, "But I really am going to use it. I want to rebuild an old 40's or 50's car, and turn it into a hot rod". How could I say no? So, here it sits, but at least I got it moved (my neighbor and I rolled it out of my way, where it will most likely sit for another long while!!). AND, he's gonna put new shocks on my truck when he comes home next!!

My loft and shed are full of 'In case I need it' thats the phrase I use when the wife says what do you want that for the answer is 'In case', she's got used to me after twenty odd years of it. One of these days it just might be handy having it around. As you have already said its garden art, it adds something! I don't know what but something.Lol. Love your colour scheme here, now if it really looked like that it would be a conversation piece and worth a few dollars to boot. Superb postwork Marilyn, I love it. Bravo!!!!!
such sweet words brought a smile nice capture warm hug, Linda

Stellar postwork used on this family keepsake, Marilyn! Other than that, I really can't think of anything clever to say that would befit this down home scene.
I don't know a thing about cars and guess where they put me in the Post Office? VOMA Nice colors... Aloha
ok, honestly, the postwork nearly blinded me and I thought at first it was an acordian so I think maybe its a bit heavy. On the other hand, its a festive assault on the eyes. LOL
now i know where your coming from with this as i was the same in my younger days and although i dont do cars anymore i still dont throw anything away in case its needed .drives june nuts :o)..its definitely artwork in this shot marilyn lol mick
If you pull off the heads. Those bits there on top of each side with the rocker arms on them, underneath there's eight holes. Pull the pistons out of thise and it will be a perfect eight holed flowerpot holder!
Nice pov! Did you postwork this? LOLOL! :) I love it - it looks like it's on fire.
Wow interesting post work Marilyn :-)
He would have to soak the block in an Acid Vat to prepare it for rebuilding, if it's any good!!! But I know what he means!!!
