Description

This picture dedicated to Myrtha Mason. For those who want to see the earlier Mim story and renders, go here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1548785 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1547610 __________________________________________ Five years have passed--five eventful years for Mim. Herrick, her father, passed away three years ago, then her mother a year later. Mim is now no longer the barmaid at the Wayside Inn, but its owner. However, to Mim, inheiriting the Inn was not the greatest event of her life. Four years earlier, one of her trysts at the Inn resulted in the birth of her son, Foy. To Mim, Foy is her greatest joy; although, she will privately admit that when she first found out she was pregnant joy was not the operative emotion she experienced. She was always amazed that Herrick found such interest in her son, since she had no idea at the time that the old man was her father. If Mim has a regret it is that neither Herrick nor her mother ever told her. Fortunately, her being pregnant changed her indifference in regard to learning the business side of running the Inn, so by the time Herrick died, Mim was able to effectively run it. Ownership further changed her. She still has some of her slovenly ways but she doesn't tolerate it in her help. The Inn is actually thriving under her rule. Regretfully, Mim spends far more hours at the Inn than at home, these days. Gram has grown even more shrunken and frail but still manages to look after Foy in Mim's absence. Foy is a good-natured lad, who reminds Mim a lot of Herrick, and not so much his actual father. Well, she's pretty sure he is anyway. He wasn't a local; just a traveler passing through, so it's not likely she'll ever see him again. Mim doesn't care. Foy is more than enough by himself. Wow, it looks so 3d, like looking into a Viewmaster! (I have one, it has Disney's Snow White in it) grin I could just about put my finger through the screen and touch your people. Nice sense of time and period. I love that old house. :)
