"Excuse me, but my family lives here in Chicago." "Well mine lives in Wisconsin." "Well it's not going to hurt them to travel to Chicago for the weekend." "It's not gonna hurt yours to travel to Wisconsin, they need to get out of this city." "Jake! I want to get married here, I have friends from work who will be attending as well family!" "oh and I don't have friends?" "Yeah, but mine are real friends and besides Mr. McPherson, since I'm willing to move to Wisconsin, leave a well paying job, all that I know, family included-..." "You hardly get along with your family, my family treats you better than your own, admit it!" Vivian made a face, "True, in fact, I like your family better." "Oh please, can you see my mother being inconvenienced for the sake of my wedding." She sighed, "Please Jake, I'll be living there, but please let's marry here, please - do this for me?" Oh nooo - what would I look like walking my white ass up in there?" He asked grinning. "Like you've arrived to marry my black ass, that's what!" She grinned back. He chuckled shaking his head, "No way, that's where I draw the line, we get married in a neutral hall, my dad would not be comfortable in an all black baptist church." "But my mother won't consider us married unless it's in a church." "Let's face, your mother doesn't like me anyway, so it doesn't matter where we marry, she still won't feel that we are." Vivian leaned on his chest following a sigh, then an idea came to mind, her head popped up with a smile, "I've got it! Let's just do Las Vegas! Have the honeymoon there and get home and start on our house!" "Yeah right, and Bartholomew - my father, would condemn me to burn in hell for all eternity I agree to that, it's going to be hard enough telling him it'll be in Chicago and in a hall!" "Well that's your idea, not mine!" Jake sighed, "Jeez, this is going to be hell isn't it?" "That's why I wanted to discuss it now." She reminded him. Jake gave it some thought and grinning asked, "Can't we just live together?" "Hell no! You want this chocolate milk every morning, you gonna have to buy the cow! You have used up all the samples you're gonna get!" "Ah that's cold! No more samples?" "Samplings done baby! It's pay up, or give it up!" She sassed. "Alright, alright, alright - let's get back to Chicago or Wisconsin, church or a hall, cause milk makes a body good, and if I have to drink it, I must have chocolate in mine!"
