The front of Wells Cathedral in Wells, Somerset, England. Zooming in might show more detail on the dozens of statues and ornate stone work on this impressive cathedral. Thanks very kindly for your views and comments.

Breathtaking!!
When Wells was originally built the facade would have been very brightly painted in primary colours, a bit like Disney World! If we were to truly restore it the locals would be OUTRAGED because we have come to think of churches as grey! There has been quite vigorous debate about this in academic circles, it is unklikely to happen. Another photographic masterpiece, magnificent!
Exceptional work Maria.
Super details. Too bad the addition on the lower right has made the view modified. Excellent capture!
Excellent capture Maria.
Arches, cornices, spires, statues, steeples, ad infinitum! OMG, a supercalifragous POV, along with magnificent architecture, geometry, colors, clarity and textures on display in this wonderful shot, Maria! And I'm not even religious!

A superb capture of this very impressive building Maria, I feel ashamed that it has taken a visitor to my country to show me this beautiful piece of my heritage. I have been within a mile of this wonderful building and didn't take the time out to visit it. I have enjoyed your series very much, next time I am in that area, I will make time to visit the Cathedral. Excellent work, fantastic series. Bravo!!!!!
