I love its spiky feathers. The line of dark color on them gives it such a great look. Fabulous clarity and an outstanding portrait.

Fascinating capture. Fun to know what it seems to love doing too. I recently lost my Cockatiel who lived to be 27 years old. I miss my Loco! Your story here reminds me of him Richard. He was a trip!!!
Fantastic capture my friend, have a impressive detail.....!!!!
super capture of this little lovely...hard to tell what sort of bird it is since can't tell without the full bird's body...must be pecking at her hand because it wants to be fed...while i was in turkey doing field work i raised a common house sparrow...even after i let her fly into the wild she would come back to me several times a day and peck at my shoulder and pull my hair, telling me that she wanted me to feed her ;)
Wow, truly amazing capture Richard!
