Welcome back everyone, I'm still working at it, the writing thing, my first love. As I do so, at the end, what is needed, is an illustration and bookcover to present my fiction piece. And once more, here is another.

Contemporary 20th century 60's to the middle 70's
Watch Commander Captain William Camen O’Malley
1978 Chicago has a growing drug Cartel and a blood trail of murders, including two captains of police; who once headed the narcotics investigation leading to drug lord, Herman Dozer. Having accepted the assignment, Will relocated to Chicago and began setting up his special forces team. Unknown to the public officials, however, was a dual reason for O’Malley accepting the case, beside his deep seeded hatred for the drug world. There was also the nightmare … a nightmare that added to his driven determination to erase as much of the drugs as he could from the streets, from getting into the wrong hands; having been a victim himself, with results that would follow him for the rest of his life.

Haunted by a nightmarish past, for years and years, memories plagued her mind that she strove to block and deny. With this fine tuned skill, she’d succeeded in doing just that! Until that is, the day she walked into the office of Watch Commander Captain, William O’Malley. The sight of him immediately triggering questions that once again, catapulted her back to a time she thought just a dream, one long forgotten, and dismissed.

Looking good Mercedes. Just one thing. Check the last line on the promo at the bottom of the page- should it read "Driving its reader to a traumatic and surprising climax"

A very nice image but there are a couple of spelling errors - as already mentioned there is the as/and error and there is the schocking climax (shocking climax?) I know how easy it is to miss these types of errors :) Sounds like a cool story :)
Good portrait, I think. Looking at the full screen (on a 1400x1050 notebook) I have two considerations that might make it even better: 1) Make the background (gray gradient) a bit lighter, to have the hair stand out more. On my screen the small copy of the portrait (on the front cover) already tends to be just something dark, blending with the hair of the woman in pink. 2) Add some light to have the hair stand out more from the face and show its taxture more clearly. On my screen even the large portrait could show a hood instead of hair. (I'm exaggerating for the sake of argument.) I think that some weak and somewhat wide spotlight on the small visible part of the neck would do. Once again: just considerations. :-)
LOL, sorry about the typos and boo-boos on the pitch below the picture, however, I assure you, the same error was not made on the bookcover. Too tired, eyes burning and needing to stop, I plowed onward to get it up done and missed the above mistakes, as/and - shcoking/shocking - heh heh heh - oh well, again! Thank you all!
