Description

The Reprisal battle carrier is orbiting the planet, Cherryh IV. The planet is as close to a second Earth as humankind is likely to ever find and its yearly average temperature is only one degree Fahrenheit below that of Earth at the turn of the 19th century before the increase in global temperatures started to climb during the mid to late 20 th century. The population of Cherryh IV is approaching 12 million and humans have lived there for nearly 200 years. A large compliment of the Reprisal's crew are enjoying an extended leave on Cherryh, but the Reprisal is a military ship, so operations and training continue for the remainder of the crew aboard her. In two weeks ship time, the vacationers will return--along with a large group of recruits--and the present active duty crew will rotate down to the planet. The Reprisal will remain at Cherryh IV for two ship's months in order to replenish supplies and undergo upgrading and refitting many of its electronics components. During that same period, the new Cherryh recruits will undergo rigorous basic training aboard the Reprisal. Then the ship will leave for an extended active duty tour of the fringe settlements on the outer rim of the Milky Way. **************************** Thanks to Neil aka puredigital101, who graciously gifted me with his new model products, the Reprisal Battle Carrier and the Falcon Gunboat. So, this picture is dedicated to him with a lot of gratitude. Neil has the Reliant for sale in his store (http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=6006) at Renderosity for $7.00 and the Falcon for $5.00. He has a lot of other very fine Bryce products there as well. Drop by and check his store out. CREDITS: Bryce 6.1, PSP5.0. Reliant: puredigital101. Planet: Created by me.

Great job on the planet. And the lighting on the ships does add a lot to the scene too. And I had a good giggle at the missing letter on the planet's name in it's first instance in the text.

that's pretty damn cool love what you have done the ship, just wondering how you got two in there ? as my pc runs out of memory, with more than one of those things lol, unless of course you rendered two pics and put them together and thank you very much for the kind words

Well, er, there should be only one ship!! Don't know how that other one got there. Probably when I was working in post-render. My tired brain probably thought it was a part of the original ship. LOL!

i hate to be a bummer, as so many people have given you a lot of good comments... But the only thing i would of done different is to cast more light on the ship. I know it's coming out of the dark side of the planet and may of looked a little out of place if you did with the lighting... but i believe you could get away with adding a bit more light to it..... just a thought.. great pic...
