Description
I wanted to compare the 2 for quite awhile.I found this 66 at an antique store, and shortly after it was sold.the 07 is mine
thanks for viewing and any comments
I took this at a high iso to get the details to show because an dark overcast morning.the 66 FJ, the passenger sits on top of the gas tank.Toyota quit selling the FJ in the USA because they did not want to fix them to pass safety laws. I would have rather had the old style
yesterdays post could be a moth.I tried to identify it, but have not

I had one of the 66 Cruisers same color as in your photo. Loved! Nice comparison shot.
Wonderful capture, dear Richard. I like the old one best! It is very like the jeep wranger that I drive. Have a good day. Sun is out here. It is lovely. I am off to work in my garden! Hugs. Diane.
fantastic capture my friend, excellent image
You did really good shot! EXT!!!
Excellent capture.:-) hugs sessan
Sharp Automobiles. Both are looking mighty fine!!!! I favor that 07. I want a ride!
Great comparison, Iwould prefer the '66 unit.
007 for me.......Aloha
Funny, I thought the new version would be your favorite, but now looking in detail at the two, the older version has a higher ground clearance and ride and looks a bit more butch and guy-like ! Interesting comparison & ~Cheers~
Impressive cars and fantastic photo Richard......!!!!
Interesting to see these!
Excellent idea :)
Superb capture hugs lou x
I am undecided, they are both good, depends really on what you want it for, if you want an off road working machine the 66, if you want comfort and a spacious vehicle the 07. They are classed as gas guzzlers over here in the UK and now have to pay a higher road tax, I think its about £160, a cc lower than 1000 is under £100. Also we are paying £1.09 to £1.20 per litre, that is more than $10.00 a gallon maybe up to $12.00 at some garages. Excellent capture of the two Richard, I wonder what yours will be like at 40 years old. Great comparison. Bravo!!!!!
hmmm, lovely idea and splendid capture! :D Nice cars. :D :D
They both look sharp but I prefer the old style also Richard
Nice shot, well done...
Both are classics in their own special way, but the '66 model looks like it could be more fun to 'tool' around in. Great captures.
cool xx
Very cool photo's. Hard to choose but. I think I like the 66 better.
cool :-)
I know nothing about Toyota and nothing about these vehicles. but I can appreciate your excellent shot of the two of them.
Excellent Richard! Interesting how design changes of time.
Great shot Richard, times of change....BTW how do you like the new one? I thought of checking one out. :) Have a great day!
Great shot!
Great capture, and I prefer the 66, looks more rugged :)
that is nice image :)
Great comparison-function vs comfort
I've been eyeing the '07 FJC for a while now. I'm looking for something to replace my Pontiac Aztek. The old FJC looks too much like a Land Rover which I would prefer in a 60s vehicle. Great shot!
Deux jolies carrosseries, jolie capture, belle photo!
