I did this render at same time as " Lethal Beauty " I used the same sky backdrop. I just now, got around to uploading it finally! I saw no harm in bringing 2 of my favorite video game characters alittle closer together! 47 from the video game Hitman and Lara from Tomb Raider! A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO "RBLUE" FOR HIS TERRIFIC MINI TUTORIAL ON IMPROVING MY REALISM! On a more technical note: "RBLUE" nailed it when he said, my renders look like they were done in a movie stage type of layout! I do not have Vue or Bryce software to generate my outdoor scenes! ( I was a long time Bryce user and stoped using it at version 5, when I switched to Studio Max) I do all my sky scenes either by wrapping a sky texture on an inner dome or onto vertical flat plane mesh. This is a good way to cheat and create a fast work around to rendering the scene quickly! I just line up the mesh with the camera and use a single light to iluminate the sky mesh backdrop. This way I can get a reflection onto the water that matches in both color and light. I find that while this is not a perfect solution, it does help bring the image together alot better... when rendered at the same time! I can also add the sky background in post, but only when the scene does not require a reflection! The water is just a single mesh with a noise modifier applied to it. I used a raytrace texture to get the reflection. All in all...this was a fairly fast scene to generate, due to these cheats. about the hardest part was posing the characters! Now...My only wish is to get Vue so that I can finally start to get some great renders outdoors, without the need of other work arounds! Trying to do a Tomb Raider Style series is difficult enough for me without some decent vegetation for outdoor scenes...It is for this reason that my Lara has yet to visit the Jungle!
