Description
After Hours or the AFH gene has been found responsible for all fellow night owls out there.
This genetic mutation called the "after-hours gene" may explain why some people are night owls, it has been revealed in some recent experiments.. Now we all have an excuse for whiling away those hours on the PC at night.. Or perhaps we just enjoy the peace and quiet .. what's your excuse?

An excellent photo! I was bequeathed a Victorian stuffed Barn owl, still in perfect nick as the case is intact.
I'm delighted you posted the barn owl again. And a great shot it is with the parted beak. My excuse for late hours is adult hyperactivity! I go until I drop... :-)If I don't, I just might miss something. Plenty of time to rest when I'm dead!
I was nick named 'The Night Owl' when I worked nights for the council Danny. I was an Official Kerb Crawler and actually got paid for it. People used to ask me what I did for a living, I used to answer, 'I go out when its dark to make sure it is not'. Quite a few were puzzled by it, I used to go round at night to check all the street lights and reported any that were out, so that they could be fixed. Excellent capture of this (night)Barn Owl, love the little pink flash in the opened beak. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful portrait of this owl. I like the peace and quiet after everyone has gone to bed.:)) But I also enjoy the early morning hours before anyone is up and about.
