Description

The something borrowed. are the pictures, a friend of mine from California sent me a disc recently with 560 pictures on it, mostly work related but also included some of California and the desert, I think trying to make me homesick, so I thought I would share a few. I added the comparison of gas prices, for a reason to show maybe one little reason I give to others that ask me this question. WHY did you move from California to Tennessee, and I usually say well, for a lot of reason, some personal reasons, and some economical reasons, such as you can buy a home here and also afford to eat, LOL and I am not in ANY way knocking California, I love it there, it will always be home to me, and moving 2,000 miles away or sorry 2,211 miles (thanks Dad) was not an easy thing to do, most of my family and so many good friends are still there. And I also know that gas prices are high all over as prices are rising on everything recently.

I hope you enjoy his pictures, and that is not against Renderosity rules to post pictures from others. Oh the picture of the Tennessee gas prices is my picture, I took it last night, aint it pretty, LOL Hmmmm wonder what the title for my next post will be LOL.

I got $30 in gas this morning and that gave me less than 8 gallons. Not even a full tank. We live in one of the cheaper areas in California for gas. Fantastic collage.

I was just in Tennessee at Cove Lake. Had some of the Rikkard bar be que. My memories of California are now so old (1965-78) that no one would recognize them in an economic sense.

I agree they are ridiculous prices I wish they were that low over here in the UK. We pay the equivalent to $10-11 dollars per Gallon, at the supermarket near me it is £1.06/9 per litre thats about £5.30 per gallon. I know today's theme is something borrowed but it would also fit the bill for something blue. Lol. Excellent collage, very interesting narrative. Bravo!!!!!

Excellent and funny collage work! Looks like you were maing a brochure to promote CA until I saw your fuel price comparison! lol! Still, it is much cheaper than here in the UK - a visit to the gas station is like being robbed here! lol! Fantastic work!!

when I was in Nevada last month I paid 3.89 for regular at the state line with CA. I was on my way to Lake Havasu and at Needles,CA the regular was 4.19. less than 20 miles into Arizona it was 3.19. today I had the choice at Sam's of 3.50 for super or 3.30 before discount. I recall back in 2001 after winning a BMW Z3 at Vegas I was driving through Arizona and had to pay 2.12 and I thought it was highway robbery. my FJ Cruiser holds 19 gallons so it would be nearly $70 to feel up from empty.that is why I flew to Nevada instead of driving. the airfare was cheaper than gasoline and at least one night in a hotel
