Description
This little fellow is called a Steenbok (bok=buck). I shot this image in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. They are a very small species of buck found widely in Southern Africa and extremely skittish! To get close to them is almost impossible. I was extremely lucky to get the 'pose' from this guy! He ran off at warp speed mili-seconds after I took this image. It was taken with on an approx 400mm zoom and was scanned from color negative.
Thank you for visiting.
Hugs, Carin xx

Gorgeous animal, marvellously caught!
Wonderful shot! Saw these at the zoo recently and they do have such adorable faces! Wonderfully recovered from a negative, very impressed that you could do this!

Beautiful capture Carin. He looks like he is about ready to bolt. I like his eyelashes, Sig..
this is brilliant, so much expression in this image - it looks kinda like he's smiling at you as if to say "I'm about to bolt, and you ain't gonna catch me =)" you caught him right in the moment of 'fight or flight', very nice work
Fantastic image, great DOF here, he seems to be posing for you :)
Une splendide créature, pleine de charme et de légèreté, bravo

It's a beautiful young ram well captured. They are so small and light footed. Good timing.
