Description
Thought I'd lighten up after my previous two images. This is an old exercise in layering fractals to create something recognisable but somewhat alien.
I used the output from a fractal generation program (freeware, I can't remember which) as an elevation map in Bryce, applied multiple texture permutations (settled on a tweaked cracked clay pot, I think), added instant puddles, and incubated under various lighting conditions. (I'm sorry, I'm a hobbyist - I can't remember the details. You should see my filenaming conventions... :o)
Bryce 5, sig. and resizing in PSP, no other post work.
Thanks for looking and for commenting on my previous images, much appreciated.
Update: This image was selected for the DAZ Bryce gallery for May. Very happy about that!

Interesting way you have achieved this look. Really gives the impression of dried out, muddy areas. You should see how I name my files, once in a while the wrong one comes up because I think I'm uploading the Bryce file I intended to work with and lo and behold, it's something else.
excellent image and great job, this fractal art is truly new and amazing to me.
Interesting image and textures. Bryce is amazing how it is so full of surprises. I still discover new things after years of using it. Very nice render!
Excellent work... very abstract, almost. Great textures.
Great texture for a rocky shore. Fantastic result for your fractal work.
