Tender alone
Tree in the light
Green pine needles
Eyes to the sky
Counts one, two, three
Many clouds afloat
Gradually adrift a change
Disappearing in and out
As they fade in the breeze
Eyes smile a twinkle
A winter warm inside
Icicles’ melt to water
Quench a thirst a drink
