Description
Captured 3/8/08 on a lawn outside a Chinese restaurant, around 7:40 AM, about 1.5 miles/2.414 kilometers from my abode.
This thing is big and must weigh a ton/tonne. One might also get the impression that it could be the fossilized bone of some giant creature, such as a dinosaur. Unfortunately, I didn't have a tape measure with me at the time so I could check the length and width.
Other objects on the lawn included smaller versions of the above, several huge meteorite-like rocks, a couple of stone dragons, and various plants. I didn't bother photographing those because of poor lighting and contrast conditions.

Very cool, Harry... a really large piece. I have some small ones about a foot long and they are very heavy! ... so this really must weigh a ton!
It's for sure not going anywhere..looks like it's been there for awhile..
Wonderful shot for a large piece of wood .. very natural and beautiful photo!!
Excellent details and fantastic shot.
Interesting collection of stuff on the lawn, but this one is pretty impressive!!
I love the way the wood twists and turns. You've captured those details beautifully, my dear! A very interesting item, indeed. Thanks! :)
Beautiful shot, fantastic details and light!
Very interesting. I like these old, twisted, gnarly, textury type of wood.
It's just like a headless lady in a long dress, rather beautiful. The Venus de wherever the place is!
Fantastic find Harry. Like a twist in a tree form and a great interesting pattern. So I missed out on a stone dragon...bugger...lol.
Very interesting twist to it. I'm sure it is meant as a sitting place as the surface is very smoothed off already.
what an amazing shape!
Very nice shape of this art. Great decorative wood. Aloha
Great textures...Nice shooting
