Description
I know that Tunde loves the constellation Orion, and I promised her a shot of it while it was "standing up" at my lattitude. I finally got a clear night tonight, so here it is.
Not much here to postwork, although I did brighten the stars a stop or so.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

I forgot to mention that even at a 15 second exposure you can see movement of the stars if you look closely. I suppose at this size it just makes the stars look a bit blurry. Yeah, I know, excuses, excuses. :-)
Cool shot ... At first i thought the pic wasn't loading lol ... Awesome capture as always :)
Also a BIG HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our own Tunde for becoming the latest "GOMIE" (gallery of the month) a most excellent choice!! Wonderful dedi Dennis!!!!
great shot...
I see the stars in Orion's belt! Great shot, Dennis.
Excellent photo.
Wow! Congrats to Tunde. Will have to try this one day Dennis. Maybe on Mauna Kea when the nights are warmer. Aloha

Stellar. :-)
Oh Thank you so much for this capture Dennis. yepp it is my fav constellation.
Ah, now, this tells me absolutely nothing ;-) Man, I'm hopeless with stars...lol
Wonderful shot
Very nice!
What a great shot! Everything is so clear and beautiful. I use Orion's belt to find the Pleiades - that's my favorite. I don't know much about constellations at all, but for some reason I figured that one out. This is such a beautiful image, my friend ... I keep going back and looking at it over and over again.
Excellent and very interesting shot, looks fantastic!
You did a great job of showing the whole constellation, not just the belt!
Interesting shot for our friend Tunde!
I'm not overly good at connect the dots when it comes to constellations so I love Orion as he is one of the easy ones to find.
I like it I've never tried to shoot the stars!
How cool. I remember when you could not shoot the stars. You have come a long way.
well i'll be darn if i see a belt! ....... hehe .... interesting photo ..knowing each one of them is really SO huge in the universe is unimaginable! ..ty for sharing!
