Description
This young lady was standing outside the Red Lion PH, waiting for her sweetheart. I brought my camera up for the shot and she caught the movement out of the corner of her eye just as I pressed the shutter button. Her sweetheart was stood across the road posing for her friend against one of the old billboards. Not exactly the shot I wanted, but once I had been rumbled and she was aware of my presence, the opportunity had passed.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make.
May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are.
Wintery showers here just now.

Great close shot here Jeff, I didn't get many shots this close. These people all had wonderful features which just fitted the mood and the clothing was excellent. I can remember the two soldiers with this young lady and her friend, they hung around for us two to get loads of shots at a time of day when there wasn't many "present day" visitors about, great stuff!
beautiful portrait:)
Beautiful photo.
great capture.
Lovely shot Jeff!!! I rather like her expression:-) She really has the right face for the era, isn't it strange how faces actually change with each generation!!!
I agree with sylki. well timed just at the right moment.
Super expression... a fantastic portrait Jeff!
Fantastic shot :) Excellent!
Even with the strong sunlight, this turned out great. The moment was good too. I think this is a portrait to be proud of.
Wonderful image! Superb lighting Jeff! 5+
Great shot, Jeff, love the light and the shadow!!
She really looks the part! Well caught! ( and yes, aquafit is basically an hour exercising vigorously upright in the deep end, much more strenuous than swimming, and the chance for a good old gossip to boot!)
Love this series and the half aware look.. You did well too with keeping the shadows down with the wide brimmed hat
its amazing how an outfit and a look can transform you back to 60 odd years ago .excellent series this is becoming jeff :o) mick
wonderful profile portrait love the 40's looking outfit and hat with her bright red lipstick!

Oh yes, she certainly does look the part! It would be interesting to see a photo of her in her everyday garb, wouldn't it? I'm sure the comparison would be very cool. Nice shot, my friend!
