Description
The fissures are located several miles beyond that hill. The smoke you see on the hill is from the forest fire caused by the lava. As for the people that lived on that hill, I'm not sure if their homes are still there. In the mean time, a young lady try's her luck playing with the lava. At that distance, the heat on her is very intense. She is there just for a few seconds and then backs off. Aloha and thank you for viewing

You would need to have good balance to get so close. I like how you have the people in the background as well. Almost seems they are standing in the middle of the flow.
unbelievable!
These lava photos are all incredible.
wow, this is super, I really like the orange glow from the heat....
Excellent capture looks like that woman is trying her luck.
I can only image how hot that is. I have a good idea though. I feel bad for those who have lost property, but live on a growing island and it is a risk you take, right? That fissure looks pretty neat, it almost looks like graffitti is written on it. I feel bad for that little plant in the lava's path too...
I wonder how the soles of her shoes stood up to that!?! I can't imagine what it's like to see this in person! Great capture Errol!!
Another great lava shot. Glad you got the chance to capture this beauty of nature. Too bad about the homes in the area. I think they will all be gone soon. Aloha

Awesome capture, sort of disconcerting to see so many people so close to it, though I guess they're pretty safe at that distance. Mahalo! :)

Another fantastic foto of these lava fields, Errol!!
An excellent image. It does look hot. The lava must be pretty slow, but nevertheless, she is literally playing with fire!
