Description
This FB-111 is being refueled over the Pacific Ocean between Wake Island and the Hawaiian Islands. During the refueling the wings of the FB-111 are extended to adjust for the relatively slow speed of the refueling tanker. This picture was taken in March 1990 and later scanned.

Cool shot, and you had to be aboard the tanker to get this photo. You must have observed some really precise flying to see them hook up together. Was it at all scary?
