At a stop light with many cars ahead of me I saw a young man, ill kept, trembling, slowly meandering from car to car with his outstretched hand holding a white cup. People in their cars rolled up their windows or pretended not to see him. I caught his attention as he came closer and he came to my car window. I rolled it down and smiled at that painful face, putting a few dollars in his cup. With quivering lips he smiled back and then the light turned green. I had my dream for the day I thought, now the rest of my day was going to be a piece of cake. "Ah, love, let us be true to one another."
