Very interesting 3D effects. I have a question though: is the Moiré pattern in the inner tan areas intentional? I personally think it adds to the image, but I'm wondering if you put it there on purpose, or if it is an un-intended result of down sampling.

AbstractApproach: Yes the Moire pattern was intentional. I liked the effect and was pleased that the render didn't smooth it completely out, as it has in other images I've done. Glad you like it, too!

Lucidity is the word I got in my mind directly. Clear and direct work, very well done.

Mercy, woman, this is some fractal! Amazing, with lots of points of interest, and it's certainly got its own unique look to it! Very well done! (I may have to try that formula, too!)

I'm a big fan of moire, and just love that little bit running up the central tan portion! In fact, I love the whole thing. It's so dimensional, it feels like I could climb way down to the bottom of this spiral thingy .. is there a bottom?
