Description
Another of my favorite renders that came together seamlessly. Amazing how some do and others just won't work. Details for anyone interested .. candle/candleholder modeled in Bryce. The candlewax drips were created with lattices, stretched to get the right look. Apples in the foreground are 3d models with some in the rear painted to get the look from the painting falling into the 3d models. The mat on the apple bowl is from the painting in the background.
Probably more than you wanted to know .. enjoy and thanks for comments and views. Have a great day everyone!

This one caught my eye because it DID look like a painting, an old one. And I like getting the details - how else can we learn or be inspired to try something new and different?
Wonderful work. Superb light and general arrangement!

Un brin de douceur, de vie...
a stunning piece of still-life !
Stunning piece. Great texturing, reflections, and mix of 2D and 3D.
I know nothing at all about the techniques of 3D Art ... but it is very evident from this picture that this is very very clever - the concept, and the execution, of a 2D picture seguing into 'reality' is stunning. All of the traditional artistic values - colour balance, composition, lighting - are here at the highest level. I applaud your creativity and your consummate skill! Mike
