Description
More terrain building with lattices.
Once a thriving quarry where slices of granite were cut from the mountain side, all that now remains is a quiet and abandoned work site. The drill marks from the mechanical machines now blend in with the surrounding foliage and the pit at the bottom of the mountain has filled with water.

Beautiful and yet sad image, that the earth should be scarred in this way for the sake of mankind!
there are some isolated old flooded limestone quarries in southern Ontario which were turned into private swimming spots, some clothes optional. great capture
excellent Keith!
Great image Keith...the lighting in this is very dramatic and the textures are true to your storyline...well done!
excellent brava
Excellent terrain work again Keith!! Awesome textures and lighting!! Great work!!
Love it!! Really looks like an abandoned quarry. Great lighting and textures. Nicely done!!
Sure a great great landscape, Keith - abonded allright hehe... ^¿^
Superb image! Excellent textures and lighting! 5++
Great terrainwork and light. I´m very poor at doing realistic landscapes in Bryce. I seldom use the prog to that so. I think you´re succesfull with using the prog to what it´s created for.
Excellent chiselled out terrain work Keith. Great low POV makes the quarry look huge and also the upfront foliage. Great work as ever. Tony :-)
It does have that sad, abandoned look, but nature is softening the effect~~beautiful image, Keith!!
The drill markings are a good touch, and I've seen quarries just like this with water in the bottom making a small lake Its well done, Keith!
Excellent work with the drill marks and the foliage.
Oh I think under that hill we can found Uranium ;-) BEAUTY
Excellent terrain Keith ! Ana
Magnificent terrain work again, Keith. Really like the POV and the monotone colors are so fitting for the image. Excellent work.
Great terrain and wonderful lighting! Excellent work!
The remarkable and perfect image.
it is an excellent terrain and does look like mining operations has taken place.here quarries are dangerous to go into because of being popular with snakes and some gators
Superb scenery!!! Excellent details, mats and lighting!!!
Fantastic lighting, Keith. Great work, as always!!!
Nice Bryce work, very well done...
Fantastic and creative story behind this one! beautiful terrain as always! I some times wonder if you import u.s.g.ss .dem files? I use to use Vistapro ages ago, and would import dem files :-) very cool foliage here also!
No importing of any usgs files, Mike...all down in Bryce of my own making.
Another great image, Keith! But the quarry seems better now after all that torment. It looks like it's just started to enjoy life to the full!
Enormously well detailed! Amazing work Keith. Muis
Excellent concept and render here, again, Keith! The texture of the terrain is interesting, you must be spending hours and hours working on the mat' engine...Fantastic!
