Description
Crater Lake is a caldera lake that is famous for its deep blue color and water clarity. The lake partly fills a nearly 4,000-ft. (1,220m) deep caldera that was formed around 5,600 BC by the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama (Wikipedia).
It is located in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon. This picture was taken in March 1981 and later scanned.

How cold it must be. It has that quality to it that conveys a hidden secret as well. Very nice and the scan is done very well.
