Description
A rather simple render for today. My brain needs a bit of a rest...lol Once again I used the lattice for terrain building, changed it in the terrain editor to gigantic size along with two hits on the erosion function and then stretched it to create the volcanic peak and slopes. Water has a bit of bump applied to it and high transparency so as to allow the viewer to see some of the terrain features underneath the water.
Enjoy and thanks for viewing and commenting...

Isn't that something... great work, Keith ^¿^
Simple, but very effective! Good clean light and very nice terrain building!
Your expertise in terrain shaping and rendering is fabulous. I like this very much, this desert scene may be simple, but it's even more powerful and expressive.
great work amigos
Wonderful eroded hill, Keith!!! Excellent scenery!!!
bleak.. and so extinct. nice terrain work!
Interesting and fabulous landscape Keith, it certainly looks like there's been no-one there for thousands of years. Good use with the water effects as well to show below the surface. Tony :-)
Not surprised yiour brain needs a rest, Keith. This 'seems' simple but you know what they say- less is more and all that? I love 'looking through' water when I go bass fishing down at a low spring tide- not the same terrain as you have skillfully done here but similar in a way. Nice work.
Simple and powerful image. Your terrain work is fascinating and so inspiring. Thanks for the details on how you achieve such a realistic look.
Nicely done Keith...really like your use of transparency in water plane and terrain is very well executed...5++
well done Keith .. it looks like a place where dinosaurs would be
This has an almost surreal quality to it, simple though you say it is, the overall effect is fantastic. It does look eons old, who knows what might peek out from over the top?
Darn excellent realism on the water Keith. Your'e doing incredible work my friend WTG! Muis
I like this quite a lot! The sense of realism is amazing and the geology of the image is top notch and quite accurate. It's evocative of so many moods and stories as well. Fantastic work!
Simple can be so beautiful , love the realism here ! Ana
Superb image! The water is excellent! 5++
hmmm simple but it´s a nice work Keith! Fantastic landscape

Incredible! Love the color and the frosting. Really like the crags in the terrain. Adds so much realism...Really great job:)))
Excellent terrain Keith!! Certainly does look extinct!! Love the water too!! Great work!!
You Rock with Bryce man! (5) Try to push the terrain more farther then the terrain will be inside the Haze & Atmosphere :) Just an Idea :)
mayve you should write a tutorial on terrain building Keith as you are really cool with it ;o) i like this one and the textures too ;o))
excellent terrain Keith
This is superb. Great sky and water, once again. Great terrain and shape of the snow tipped mountain. Very nicely done!!
Excellent work, very nice image, well done..
Keith!! whoa man! this terrain is off the chain!!! I love it!!! I would actually like a copy if you could export this to .3ds or .lwo or or something so that I can import it into my Vue and give you credit of course what I create with it!! I love it man!!!
