Your father just pulled in the driveway,
he's had a long day.
He doesn't want to hear you whining
about your sister touching your GI Joe doll,
so hush before he opens the door.
Meanwhile, the hamburger helper
is getting over done on the stove
and the smell of the dryer sheets
are fighting the burning dinner
for domination.
Hear the cartoons in the background?
The dog scratching to get out?
Can you feel the warm air stir
as the front door starts to open?
