Description
Nub is the neighborhood ghost. Originally he belonged to a family; at some point he went away. Over a year went by and the house went through two owners. My friends live there now, and Nub showed up again about two and half years ago.
Several people feed him, but he's incredibly shy and wary, and it took more than a year before he would let me pick him up and pet him. Even today If I move quickly his eyes widen and he takes off.
However, once he's comfortable he's incredibly affectionate. He has one trait that's almost unique; if he crawls into your lap he'll stand up on his hind legs and put his paws around your neck, and try to give you a hug. I've never seen another cat do that.

He looks like a big cat, and he's got that "the world is falling apart" look in his eyes. I'm glad he gets fed, and taken care of by all. And I've never seen or had a cat give me a hug like that either. Great picture. Thanks!
