Description
The pillarless 4-door Bel Air sold for US$2,618.00. In a recession year Chevy fared very well. Though not as advanced as the Forward Look from Chrysler, the design was nevertheless handsome.
I have modeled a few variations on the theme: the Impala coupe and convertible, the Bel Air Sport Coupe and 4-door (pillar) Sedan, the 2-door Biscayne, 2- and 4-door Delray, Nomad, Brookwood and Yeoman 4-door station wagons. All can be seen at http://www.palat.com.br/cars.html.
Now i am modeling the entry-level 2-door Yeoman and maybe will do the Delray Sedan Delivery.
Thanks for watching.

back in the 60's I never liked the 58 but I do like the design now.I preferred the 55 and 57 of which I had one of each.outstanding modeling.the lighting is perfect

One of my most favorite cars of all time...
Again, a master!!!! I bow to your art. Bar none. You are the top shelf in which everyone else is trying to reach. 5 +++++++++++
Outstanding !! Yeah,..... this was an ugly brute, but stylish none the less.
what a great car.. wish they would make them like that again~
Your modeling skills are no doubt some of the best in the world. I look forward to all of the images you post! I would love to know your basic technique for gaining the correct curve proportions on your vehicle models. Simply outstanding!
Wonderful model and great POV, Bravo!
Awesum work, as always. Hope you do the sedan delivery, that would be cool!
excellent modelling
An X-frame and four coils, a 348 engine with an angled deck block, I only remember it in baby blue. The Plymouth set the standard for poor fit and metal this year. Closing the door on one made a sound that only a car with major rust perforation and ten years on the road could simulate. The 5 million car year of 1955 seemed unobtainable far into the future. Now 16 million is a drop in sales.
Thanks everyone for the comments! Please take a look at the Delray Sedan Delivery which i will be shortly posting.
wow this is awesome !great job on the modeling
This very beautiful and surprising image. I look on this image not tearing off eyes.
Youd swear it was a real car, excellent work.
My friend, this one is another masterpiece!!!
superb modeling.gran modelado quiero uno de esos pero en color vino.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You're number one in this field. You have a talent that I would give my right arm for. I used to aspire to produce images of this quality long before computers were a household appliance, using pencil and paper and a whole lot of erasers. At my age I am not likely to master even the basics of the programs you use ( and the talent you demonstrate with them), so I live vicariously through your efforts....which makes them very special to me. Thanks again for all your hard work and sharing these masterpieces with us all. Peter
The detail of the car is really superb!!!
FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC... I love American cars from the 50s & 60s. Please can you tell me were you got the blueprints from. I am desperate for a decent old american model or the blueprints for!
Thanks again folks @Peter - thanks for the kind words. I am 49 years old and i have to learn new tricks every day! @artjarv - i have done some "planview" renders of many of my models and donated them to http://www.smcars.net/forums/index.php
Excellent Modeling!
